For those who have never tried the buttonhole stitch, I will be posting a step-by-step how-to video shortly. Once you see how it's done, I think you will find it is really a very easy stitch to do.

Harvest Blessing...
I have been working on a new pattern...not a doll, but a penny rug or candle mat. It should be ready by the end of the coming week.
I have a few more patterns in the works using the buttonhole stitch, as well as some doll patterns that I am working on.
While I was surfing the web, I found a link to a out-of-print doll book called "The Mary Frances sewing book or, Adventures among the thimble people" by Jane Eayre Fryer published in 1913. You can read the entire book online; however, the patterns are not included online.
Here is a link to the book. Look for the word "Read" on the right hand side of the page and you can choose to either read online, save as a pdf or send to your Kindle.
I have a copy of the book reprinted in 1997 by Lacis Publications which does include the patterns. If you enjoy reading the original, perhaps you might want to purchase the reprint so that you have the patterns.

We are now on Etsy...
We recently decided to open an Etsy store to sell our patterns, dolls and other items that I have made, but never had on our website.
You can visit our Etsy store by clicking on the Etsy graphic to the right of this blog.
We hope you will bookmark our store and return often as new items will be added on a regular basis.
