FREE baby doll pattern...
Have you downloaded my FREE baby doll pattern yet?
The pattern is super easy and can be made with fabric scraps. I like to use flannel, but any woven fabric would work.
The completed baby is approximately eight (8) inches tall and would make a great baby shower table decoration or a baby for one of your dolls.

Enlarging or reducing patterns...
Anyone who sews knows that sometimes you find a pattern, but it just isn't the size you were looking for; maybe it's too big or too small. You absolutely love the pattern, but how do you make it work?
Sewhooked created a tutorial that is available on Craftsy and can be downloaded for FREE:
Using Adobe Reader, you will be able to figure out how much to reduce or enlarge your pattern piece whether for a quilt project you are working on or perhaps a doll.
This is definitely one article to keep in your files! Download now by clicking on the graphic!

Need an idea for how to build Your Own Craft Table?
If you know someone who is handy or are handy yourself, Vikkie Williams posted a blog about the craft desk her husband built her with complete instructions on how to build your own with supplies from your local lumber store; DO IT YOURSELF WHITE CRAFT DESK.
Absolutely beautiful space that anyone would love for their sewing and crafting. It has plenty of storage and plenty of countertop to handle any craft project.
However, if you prefer ready-made, I highly recommend the Sauder Sewing Craft Cart.
After sewing and crafting for more years than I care to say, I finally hinted to my husband that I would like a "real" craft table. I was using an old wood door until now.
So for my birthday, my husband bought me a Sauder Sewing Craft Cartthat is not quite as large as Vikkie's, but I love it mainly because it has wheels.
My sewing/craft room is not that big so I needed something that fit my needs, but could be moved if I needed to get to a book or magazine that I store on my bookcases.
It has a leaf that can be extended or lay flat when not in use; a couple of shelves inside the door with storage trays on the door that I use to store my large spools of thread. Just the right size for me. I highly recommend!

Not really doll-related, but...
I know many dollmakers are also quilters and I thought I would post this shark pencil pouch pattern. I know the kids will love to have one!
This is a FREE pattern posted by Becky at Patchwork Posse.
After many years of doing doll shows, I know that it is always helpful to have something to attract people to your table. This would make a great attention-grabber for your next show or just a "because" gift for that youngster in your life!
Click on the picture to get the pattern. Don't forget to show Becky a little "love" by liking and sharing her social links!

YouTube video to make shoes for the AG doll...
Even though they are not cloth dolls, I just love American Girl dolls. I just received two new ones for Christmas, a Bitty Baby and Mary Ellen, the 50s dolls.
I am always looking for patterns to make items for my dolls and some of the completed items I sell on Etsy.
Today, a YouTube video came across my Facebook feed and I thought I would share with my dolly friends.

Childhood Revisited: How to Make Your Own Paper Dolls
Margie Moore just wrote a blog on Craftsy that certainly got my attention!
Paper dolls, I loved playing with them when I was young. I would play in a make-believe world for hours at my grandmother's house. It is probably why I have so much fun designing cloth doll patterns today.
Making paper dolls and coloring their faces and clothes is a fantastic way to practice drawing and shading the faces of your cloth dolls.
Margie even provides the reader with a FREE pdf download paper doll pattern so you can get started right away. It might also be a fun project to do with your children.
Playing with dolls is so much fun!
